Our Doctors

Dr. Kris

Dr. Kris Muscari( Dr. Kris) started practice 21 years ago in  Fort Collins Colorado.  She worked in a busy 13 doctor practice in Salt Lake City for the last 15 years.  Life has slowed down for Dr. Kris and her husband Dr. H as they moved into their hand built log home on Haycamp Mesa.Their move proved just in time to provide high quality pet health care to the Dolores community.
Dr. Kris is skilled at geriatric diseases and complicated medical cases.  Her experience lies in cancer therapy and advanced organ disease such as kidney failure and diabetes.  Her training in orthodontics, root canals and advanced dental surgery help her to provide top dental care for her patients.  She enjoys soft tissue surgery  such as tumor removals, exploratory surgery and bladder surgery.
What motivates  Dr.Kris the most is building  solid relationships  with the clients and patients she serves and custom fitting the level of veterinary care that they want for their fuzzy family members.
When she isn't at DAH, her family fills most of her time.  Sunday mornings she can be found at Rockspring community Church.  She also loves riding her horses or tending to her goats and chickens.  The best dog in the world, a black lab named Tazer can be found lounging on her couch with Elle the Jack Russell Terrorist and Sprocket the red heeler looking on.  Naboo, the geriatric cancer survivor Bengal cat has control of all things in the house.

Dr Tim Hassinger( "Dr. H " or  Dr. Kris' husband) although he isn't seeing clients, offers years of quality experience providing the best service a veterinary hospital can provide.  He vigorously ensures quality controls over all medical and surgical  and business services.  You may see him out back swinging a hammer to improve our facilites or he may be hanging out at the front desk waiting to hear your stories and throw in a few of his own.
