Mei is your friendly vet technician assistant at Dolores Animal Hospital. Born and raised on Oahu, her native Hawaiian background gave her a great appreciation for the balance of the natural world. She has a degree in Natural Resource and Wildlife Management from the University of Hawai’i. Mei has done rehabilitation work with a variety of animals, including waterfowl, raptors, and endangered insects. In 2021, She moved to Dolores to be closer to family. She has fallen in love with the aspens, the snow, and the wonderful people of southwest Colorado. When Mei isn’t fawning over our precious patients, she practices photography, piano, and creative design. She has two cats; Galaxy (pictured on left) who lives back home in Hawaii, and Mushu-moon (pictured on right) who lives with her here in Colorado. At her very first career fair in kindergarten, she wanted to be a vet. We encourage her to pursue this passion.
